Message from the Principal
Welcome to South O’Brien Junior/Senior High School and the home of the Wolverines! South O’Brien Junior/Senior High School is a great place to be where the focus is to provide a “world class education for all students” within a positive and fostering learning environment.
The South O’Brien Junior/Senior High School is home to students in 7th -12th grade with an enrollment of approximately 270 students. We offer a wide variety of academic offerings to meet the interests and academic needs of all students. South O’Brien also prides itself on outstanding athletic and fine arts programs, a robust FFA program, and leadership opportunities. South O’Brien Junior/Senior High School provides an environment where everyone belongs, everyone learns, and everyone has the opportunity to reach their optimum potential socially, emotionally, and academically.
Through our academic programs and extracurricular offerings, our goal is to inspire our students to develop into the best version of themselves, and as our mission states, “to prepare students to be responsible citizens and lifelong learners”. As a staff, we are committed to developing students with 21st century skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration while supporting students’ individual interests so students will be adequately prepared for this ever-changing world.
In conclusion, it is my pleasure and honor to serve as your 7-12 principal, and I am looking forward to working with a committed and caring faculty and staff, an outstanding student body, and a supportive network of parents and community members this upcoming school year. Through our core values of integrity, kindness, and teamwork, we will continue to move South O’Brien’s rich tradition in academics and extra-curricular activities to new heights.
