The 5th and 6th graders had the opportunity to attend a Financial Literacy Presentation. Students learned about important topics such as money, savings, spending, and debt. It was a great opportunity for our students to build on their knowledge and skills for the future!

🎶As the saying goes, "The show must go on!"
🎺The South O'Brien Marching Band had to take advantage of a dry morning, but needless to say, all the rain has really impacted their practice field.
🥁These resilient kids are doing everything they can to get this year's show prepared - despite the mud!
🚨Make plans to support them at their upcoming contests!
Saturday, October 10th
8:50 am: IHSMA Festival (Sheldon)
11:15 am: Dutchmen Field Championships (Orange City)

Today's Cross Country meet @ Paullina Golf Course has been canceled.
The 2nd graders wrapped up their first module in reading by writing a personal narrative about how they have been a super citizen. Students worked hard following the whole writing process: drafting, making self and peer revisions, publishing, and sharing their final papers.
The FFA will be hosting a "Free Will Donation" tailgate at Friday's home football game vs West Sioux. Stop by for a brat and support the FFA Booster Club!

Each month, we recognize students who go above and beyond in showing what it means to be a Wolverine! Teachers nominate students who consistently demonstrate our Wolverine Way Expectations, and all nominees are entered into a drawing for Student of the Month. Congratulations to Crayton, our September Student of the Month!
👟 It's HOME MEET DAY! Head on out to the Paullina Golf Club and cheer on South O'Brien today as we host the Wolverine Invitational! It's the last home meet for our seniors Trayton, Ethan, and Corbin.

Our Little Paws Preschool had so much fun visiting Mrs. Wagner’s library for the first time this year! They learned all about library rules, listened to a story, and even got to pick out a book to take home and enjoy. 📖
Freshman Seminar wrapped up last week. During this DISCOVER session, the 9th graders got to experience the following.
👉 Learn about time management, technology skills, note taking, study skills, and stress management.
👉 Create posters to hang up in their hallway to illustrate how they want to be remembered.
👉 Attend an Activities Fair to explore extracurricular opportunities.
👉 Listen to a presentation about being involved in your school and community.
👉 Learn about the impacts of social media and phone usage.

Today we kicked off our first Wolverine Packs! 🐾 Students in TK–6th grade were divided into small groups that will meet monthly to build relationships, strengthen teamwork skills, and connect with students across grade levels.
Each month, our Wolverine Packs will focus on a different character trait. Our September focus was trust, and students had the opportunity to practice it through the Skittle Care and Share activity! We’re excited to see these friendships grow and our Wolverines learn and work together!
