Mr. Lilly is married, has three children, and 10 grandchildren. He holds a Master's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He enjoys teaching, reading, running, and coaching. Mr. Lilly will be the JVR Boys Basketball coach and an Assistant Track coach.

TK students enjoy center time, exploring, creating, and learning through play! From building with blocks and playing with cars to completing puzzles, creating art, and practicing on the iPad, there is a lot of fun and learning happening throughout the classroom!

Mrs. Waterman’s preschoolers have officially started school!
Our first few days have been filled with playing, creating, learning, and getting to know one another. We have been busy exploring our classroom, learning our daily routines, making new friends, and practicing what it means to be a preschooler.
We are so excited for all the learning, growing, and fun that this school year will bring!

Kindergarten students practiced their fine motor skills with a fun Favorite Color activity! They tore paper into small pieces and glued them onto a crayon to create a colorful project while strengthening their hands.

We are excited to introduce one of our new Elementary Special Education Teachers: Emma Peterson!
Miss Peterson graduated from Alta-Aurelia HS and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Northwest Missouri State University in May. She loves to be around family and friends, going for walks, and reading. And she's super excited to begin her teaching career here at South O'Brien!

First graders enjoyed a fun lesson with the O’Brien County Naturalist all about weather and clouds! They especially loved exploring how clouds form with a “cloud in a bottle” experiment.

The kids in Pee Wee Paws Preschool enjoyed the “Shape Song” during Music & Movement! They practiced listening and taking turns standing up when their shape was called.

Dance team is busy prepping for State Dance in December. This morning, the girls danced using soup cans instead of poms to strengthen their arm movements. They used the mirrors in the fitness center to watch themselves and reflect on how precise they are. They’ll be performing this routine at the Homecoming Pep Rally next Friday! #WolverineWay #silverandblackpack
